Toolmaker - Description:
- Wick Trimmer, Cast-iron and steel, scissor-type. Cast-iron handles with finger loops on ends. Shafts have double bends in them. Blade pieces are riveted to cast handles. Screw-type pivot for blades. Riveted solid fence along edge of right-hand blade. Right-hand blade has beveled cutting edge on bottom surface. Left-hand's blade is beveled along top surface. Stamped information on left-hand blade. Three lines: "...W. B. BARN... / --PATD-- / DEC 27TH 1864".
