From Concord Directories:
In 1830 a Charlotte Herbert is listed as a milliner. In 1834 Charlotte Herbert and Sarah O. Herbert are both listed as "Millinery and Dry Goods, Main St. At Richard Herbert's (The Merrimack Hotel, 205 N. Main St.)
In 1844 no Herberts listed in the millinery business.
In 1850 M. C. Herbert Millinery and Fancy Goods, 208 Main St.
In 1853 an advertisement of Mrs. Woolson (who was also listed in 1850) and Miss Herbert Dress-makers and milliners, dealers in "Bonnets, Ribbons, Lace goods, and Embroideries! Hair work, Ladies Frisettes, Bands etc. etc. Opposite the Columbian Hotel, up stairs. Concord, NH."
Not known whether M. C. Herbert, Charlotte Herbert and Miss Herbert are the same person. Charlotte married a Mr. Woolson so is presumably the Mrs. Woolson above.
