- Drawing of New Hampshire Mont Monadnock & Lac Half-Moon, by Frank Rossier, 1856. Pencil on paper with green watercolor border. Lake extending across scene in foreground. Several trees at right on point of flat land in middle distance. Two cows at tip of point. Mountain in background to left of center. Forested lake shore at left below mountain. Green watercolor border approx 1/2" wide. Inscribed in ink at center of lower border is: "New Hampshire," with "Mont Monadnock / & Lac Half-Moon" at right. Added in pencil is: "drawing by F. Rossier." Inscription on mat repeats artist's name and includes "1856" and "35-/" Small section of watermark at upper right corner. Two vertical creases at center. Matted but not framed.
