- Box. Varnished wooden rectangular box, birdseye maple (?), dovetailed. Rectangular brass key hole. Top board and bottom board extend out 0.125" over rest of box. Two narrow hinges at sides of box. Interior unfinished, but with three small compartments to left of base and above floor. Cloth strips hold cover in almost vertical position when open.
