- Leather-covered trunk. Wooden frame covered with light-colored hair-on-hide leather. Brown leather trim with brass tacks. Leather-hinged lid with stencil-decorated iron strip all around edge. Corners reinforced with iron straps. Iron handle on each end. Bottom marked in brown paint: large "W" in diamond, large number "1", and two stylized "#" symbols.
