Sloping hill to lake in middle ground with trees. Mountains and view of a notch in the background; blue sky and wispy clouds. Signed lower left: "T.C. LINDSAY". Paint inscription lower right reverse: "Recollections of the / White Mountains / BY / T.C. LINDSAY, 1864." Wood frame with faux graining and thin foliate exterior trim.
