The donor knows that the mirror, which includes an image of the Jacob Hoyt farm in East Concord, NH, belonged to her grandmother but whether it was in the family further back she does not know. The painting is apparently a copy of the Henry Herrick watercolor of the identical scene painted in 1898 and given to this society by Mrs. Vanderveer in 1965 (1965.032). Jacob Hoyt was donor's great-great grandfather.
