Ink on paper with buff tint stone. View of a hill town with a large hotel, upper right. Mountains in background. Inset view at lower right labeled "WAUMBEK HOTEL". Both the inset and the main composition are rectangular in shape with their upper edges arched at the center. Two additional views, labeled "JEFFERSON HILL HOUSE" and "J. H. PLAISTED & SON / GENERAL STORE", are at right and left respectively of main composition, overlapping it slightly. Signature, "A.F. Poole", printed in lower left on composition.
