Leaping stag in center; man with one arm leaning on animal's head, other arm reaches for a leaf at right. Scrolling banner surrounded with foliage and flowers. Banner reads upper right: "For Elegant Penwork in every variety", and lower center, "Cards etc. Address James L. Chase, Meredith, N.H." Bordered with hand-drawn rectangle. Black paint on gesso over wood frame, interior gilding, glazed.
