Description:

Drawing. Record of Luther Nute family of Milton, NH, by artist unknown, c.1865. Pen and blue ink and pencil on paper. Titled, upper center, lettered in ink: "FAMILY RECORD / Luther Nute was born in / Milton N.H. Nov. 25th 1806. / MARRIED TO / Susan Goodwin who was born in / Middleton N.H. Jan. 28th 1814. / Married Aug 17th 1834". Their eight children are listed below with place date of birth (all born in Milton), marriage date of eldest child (1863), and death dates of three children up to 1865. Decorated in pencil with two birds on branches, center, and banner for the text in red ink "MARRIED TO". Lower center, banner with text in red ink "Married Aug 17th 1834" and two blue ink birds with arrows. Embossed paper maker's stamp, upper left corner, "REYNOLDS'S / [crown] / BRISTOL BOARD". Wood frame, painted white, glazed.
