- Still life painting, by John Burgum (1826-1907), c. 1870. Oil on canvas. Dark brown background, white-top table, brown wood, carved skirt in egg and dart design. In center of table is clear glass compote on white, oval plate, with green grapes, peaches and pear, wedge of watermelon, blue grapes on plate; foreground, right: peeled and whole orange, red and green grapes and pear; left: two plums, two pineapples, apple, nuts and melon on edge of cloth. Signed in red paint, lower right: "J. BURGUM". Gilded gesso over molded wood frame with fluted cove, leaves at corners, and interior sand decoration.
