H-29 W-24.5 inches
Provenance:
Donor believed this to be a portrait of her great grandfather, John Bradley (1743-1815). But it is the portrait of a young man c. 1815 and is more likely that of his son, Moses Hazen Bradley (1782-1834). A silhouette of Moses Hazen Bradley (1938.008.25) has the same nose and hair. It does bear a striking resemblance to the death portrait of John Bradley (1958.042).
