Half-length portrait of William Henry Harrison (1773-1841); facing slightly left; eyes toward viewer. Wearing a black coat, black waistcoat, white shirt with high collar, and white stock. Seated by a table; paper and books on table; Harrison's right hand is writing with a quill pen; holds sword in left arm. Green curtain with gold tassels in background; white column base and sky visible. Printed center in lower margin: "WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON. / Ninth President of the United States./ Pub. by N. Currier 2 Spruce St. N.Y." Mahogany veneer, beveled frame; glazed.
