Each leg is scalloped on the lower edge near the juncture with the shaft, the base of which is also scalloped. There are two cleats and a turning block of mahogany. There is a new brass catch. The position of an earlier one is indicated by three pairs of holes arranged in triangular formation on the opposite side of the block. The top is made from five pieces and has probably been rebuilt.
