- Description:
- Tavern Table, rectangular tabletop on a one-drawer stand. Tabletop made of a single piece of wood, with a narrow strip nailed (cut nails) to the left edge. Tabletop wood undetermined; legs and stretchers are maple; drawer is pine. Tabletop pegged to stand. Drawer is full width of stand with single wooden drawer pull; dovetail construction, with rosehead nail. Drawer is stained red. Legs are square on top and bottom, with baluster turning in between. Stretchers are rectangular, and pegged. Paper label glued inside drawer: "Loan exhibit by the New Hampshire Society" (in caps).
