- Provenance:
- Stand was used to display saddle 1971.512 at NHHS in 1956 and in later exhibits related to Franklin Pierce. At the time, the saddle was thought to have been owned by Franklin Pierce, but it apparently was not. The saddle was later identified as 1916.018.
