- Powder horn. Pale whitish horn. Wide end oval in section and plugged with flat wooden disc with incised initials "D E D". Horn inscribed crossways: "Joshua / Potter / his horn / 1757 / Marched / on alarm to / Ticonderoga / July 8, 1758 / 2nd Boston Regiment". On reverse, map of the battle lines, French works, lines of Rear guard of Provincials, Boston Regiments, etc. Tip end shaped for wooden stopper which is missing.
