- Caliper, log. Birch wood. Paper label: "DECIMAL CORD MEASURE, LOG SCALE. / J. HUMPHREY, COPYRIGHT 1884. / Made and Sold by / HUMPHREY MACHINE CO., KEENE, N.H. / Price single, $2.50. Board and Cord Measure combined / $3.50". Paper label on other face same as above except for "BOARD" in place of "CORD". Stamped "J. HUMPHREY / KEENE, N.H." three times. Stamped "DECIMAL / CORD / MEASURE" on one face, and "DECIMAL / BOARD / MEASURE" on the other. For measuring volume in board feet one side and in hundredths of a cord on the other.
