- Description:
- Tomahawk, with wooden handle. Iron and steel blade added to head. Long cylindrical wood handle with some slightly flattened surfaces on it to create roughly round shape. Knots in handle creating small bumps. Wrought iron strap wrapped around handle; steel insert forced in between ends of wrought iron section. Evidence of the two pieces on top surface of ax and on right side with some slight delamination between pieces. Ax head tapers out and becomes thinner at the curved cutting edge. At handle, metal 1.2" wide, cutting edge 2.6" wide. Bottom edge of handle chamfered.
