1959 letter from donor: "Visited Croyden, NH in July 1916. Visited with Mrs. Della Hall, a descendent of the woman Jethro Bass married. Mrs. Hall gave me a small brown reed basket with a little handle which she said had belonged to Mrs. Jethro (deceased prior to 1916). I have carefully preserved it all these years."
