- Description:
- Mortar, stone, Native American. Medium gray stone. Flattened hemisphere with fairly thick walls. Interior diameter at rim: 3.2" approximately. Depth approximately 1.4". About 1/3 of perimeter, top edge irregular with pieces broken off and missing as well as pieces on side broken off and missing. On mortar, top edge predominantly rounded; sides rounded and smooth by working stone. In one area on one side, stone quite smooth compared to rest of it. Three small black spots on inside of bowl appear to be label remnants. Slightly flattened area about 1.9" in diameter on bottom.
