- Description:
- Mortar, stone, Native American. Medium gray bowl. Circular bowl, with slightly, outward-tapering sides that are straight. Inside, slightly flattened hemispherical shape. Top edge approximately 0.6" wide. Depth of inside bowl: 2.35". Inside and outside surfaces relatively smooth. Bottom surface flat with some undulations and tool marks on it. A big piece missing from one edge with rough and slightly reddish surface on bottom. Two smaller areas on bottom with rough and slightly reddish color. On sides, number of small grooves and pits showing a dark gray color in them. A few slightly stained areas adjacent to chip missing on edge. Stone mixture of darker and lighter gray grains.
