- Description:
- Pestle. Light gray/tan stone. Shape cone with rounded, small end and diagonal top surface, slightly convex. Small end, little over 1 1/4" in diameter, if this is the working portion. Small end relatively smooth with slightly brownish tint to it. Larger end, slightly rounded bevel at its outer edges, but also some smooth chips and small pieces missing around outer edge. Almost flat surface at large end, about little less than 3" diameter. Some brown surface coloration on larger end. Also, some white surface residues larger end, possibly from labels. Portions of stone slightly reflective from larger grains in stone. One side, lighter-colored boundary area.
