- Description:
- Ax head, grooved. Medium gray with some red stone. From side, profile short, rounded rectangle. Top or bottom edge, deep groove in it. Grooves on sides, but none on opposite edge. Top and bottom edges taper slightly to slightly rounded cutting edge. Cutting edge: 2.2" long, approximately. Cutting edge canted back slightly towards edge with groove. Behind groove, sides and edges create rounded back surface. Groove width about 0.8". Groove depth at edge: 0.23" on one side; 0.17" on opposite side, edge depth 0.15". On edge with groove, some black material on surface. A few small surface chips in the black. Larger chips missing from cutting edge show dark gray core material. Reddish brown color on sides, mostly near front edge and/or front portion of stone.
