- Description:
- Point, biface triangle, dark gray or black projectile stone. Color quite dark, with light surface effect in several areas. Shape isosceles triangle. Long sides slightly rough but straight to front point. Back edge straight with slightly rough edge. Both cross sections, item thicker at back, then tapers roughly to front. Thicker in center, tapering to sides. Evidence of napped surfaces along edges. One side slightly rougher, not quite as smooth as other side. All edges worked. Paper label, pencil printing: "projectile point / black chert / local / 1200 yrs. old".
