- Description:
- Point, Argillite, biface, medium gray, stone projectile point. Shape long isosceles triangle from top view. Straight sides slightly irregular and both curve slightly toward end. At back end, two small notches on either side of outside edge, then extends slightly to slightly concave back edge. Cross section roughly flattened ellipse. Lengthwise, cross section flat in center; tapers at either end. Surface smooth with lots of undulations from being napped from larger stone. One edge, some undercut fractures. A few small chips along one edge that show dark colored interior. Paper tag with pencil printing: "projectile point / gray chert / local / 1500 yrs. old'.
