- Description:
- Point, biface, purple stone projectile. Shape from top view long isosceles triangle. Back of triangle narrows to short neck with slightly tapering sides, undercut from full. Bottom surface almost flat with some slightly rough surfaces. Top surface longitudinal rib in center. Sides beveled from front to back. Edges straight with slight undulations. Slight curvature along edges to point at front. Looks like a couple narrow bands of darker inclusions diagonally across center of artifact. Evidence napping in formation of shape. Paper label reads in pencil: "projectile point / purple chert / western / c. 800 yrs. old".
