- Description:
- Rack, cheese-making. Unidentified wood, tan to medium tan. Rectangular in shape. Two side rails connected by two short rails perpendicular to long rails. Long rails taper slightly in width and thickness. At center, 1.4" wide, 0.7" thick at center, and 0.5" high at ends, 1" wide, nominally. Connecting rails 1.5" wide. Central rails have tenons that fit into mortises in side rails. All wood joints fastened with wood pins. Tenons are as wide as width of connecting rails. Height 0.3". Ends of tenons worn and/or rough-sawn. Edges of all rails are beveled and ends of rails beveled.
