- Miniature tea kettle with lid. Cast iron and steel. Cylindrical body, tapering slightly outward to smooth rib, then tapering inward to a shoulder. Shoulder is slightly curved inward to flat surface around top opening. Cast flutes around circumference of body above and below horizontal rib. On rounded shoulder are cast petals, leaves, and stems. Spout has reeding on front and side surfaces. Top surfaces smooth. Two perforated cast-in tabs at front and back on shoulder surface. Steel wire loop handle that passes through perforations; ends of wire terminate in small loops. Flat circular lid with two symmetrical coves around edge. In center of coves, exaggerated blossom with many symmetrical petals around raised central point. 19 petals in decoration. On back edge of lid is a perforated disc that is part of casting. At very back of edge of disc is a raised, short, solid cylinder. On front of disc, short cast-in tab. Lid pivots around rear perforated tab. Small washer between handle loop and top surface of perforated disc. On bottom of lid is a short cylinder cast into it on left side that helps prevent lid from opening too far. Lid's movement somewhat limited by tab on front and tab on bottom of it. Bottom of lid concave and roughly follows decorative surfaces on outside. Top of teapot has matching flat surface. Near bottom of pot of sides is a slight recessed area all around perimeter. Bottom of pot is flat with some roughness due to its casting. Bottom is a flat disc, 2.16" diameter. Bottom decorative edge, 2.54" diameter.
