- Description:
- Miniature iron coal scuttle. Cast iron. Flat front. Behind front, body is roughly oval. Top edge from flat edge curves downward to two handle bosses cast into top edge. Top edge curves upward slightly and meets at back edge. Decided lip around top edge of scuttle on outside. Small recess around bottom edge on outside, and bottom surface recessed as well. Small cast, rounded shape on back near bottom that has flat bottom edge. This shape is to simulate handle on full-size scuttle. Wire handle that wraps around bosses on side and creates small loop over center. Handle may be replacement as it is not shaped very well; wire thinner than many other examples in this collection.
