Each maple triangle has a brass handle at its center and is surrounded by a rectangular panel of double, light and dark, line stringing. Each handle made of an oval stamped brass plate and a bail. Two bands of diagonal inlay, executed in several shades of wood, extending around sides and front of case, one on edge of top and the other above skirt. The lower band is on a larger scale than that on top. Central drop panel, elongated lozenge-shaped panels, and escutcheons maple; lozenge-shaped panels being of bird's-eye grain.
