Inside of that are two abstract tulip bulbs with bases together and tips facing ends. These are over raised diamond background in weave pattern. Surface is medium to light brown due to deterioration of surface finish. Sides are plain. Appears that these three and possibly more were cut from single piece of leather that was placed over a form. Sewing intact. Holes on back on either side of central seam with threads running through them. Individual pieces have slits between them on top and side surfaces. Breaks between two pieces on back. At one end are some remnants on back that suggest one more piece connected that is now missing. These can accommodate something .0.25" high, 0.5" wide.
