- Kaleidoscope. Tubular instrument with rotating brass lower end in shape of ship's wheel. Cardboard tube with textured black surface. Instrument contains fragments of colored glass. When wheel is rotated, fragments form interesting designs to be viewed through small glass opening in upper end. Turned wooden tripod stand. Instrument stamped on brass part, "C. G. BUSH / CLAREMONT N.H. / PAT.NOV.11.1873".
