- Description:
- Point, biface, Chert. Medium tan stone projectile. Shape elongated ovate with corner notch stem and straight base edge. Surfaces and edges all knapped. Edges straight in horizontal plane. Edges relatively smooth from top view except for small missing piece. Stone relative flat throughout with just light elongated taper to tip. Slightly bevel to base edge. At base on one side, slight notch with protruding ear at corner. On opposite side, corresponding area broken off and missing. Stub has dark coloration to it where piece missing. Slight reddish-tan surface on one side near chip which may be residue or just natural coloration. On one side, definite dark boundary in 2 layers that are thin and create slightly wavy lines. Overall surface semi-gloss.
