- Description:
- Point, biface, Adena. Very light gray stone projectile point. Triangular shape, contracting base, convex end. Edges knapped, relatively flat. One edge almost straight with slight undercut at base where it extends downward to rounded back end. Opposite edge, slightly convex in front and back edges. Front edge leads to slightly rounded and slightly chipped point. Back edge rounded, leads to convex side that ends at base edge. Stone fairly flat on one side, offset mid rib on other side. Area above base, large, nearly flat planes. Around base smaller knapped edges. Flat side, slight knapping around edges. Some boundary layers in stone that may account for flatness on the one side. Some small, dark inclusions.
