Sleigh. "Eggshell cutter," made by J. & F. French & Company, Keene, NH; 1869-1874. Wooden body, painted black. Original paint and upholstery. Olive green velvet upholstery on back and sides of seat. Floral pattern carpet on seat and floor. Leather side panels at front and back. Floral decoration painted on curved dashboard and on sides. Mill scene painted on back, within a cartouche with floral border. Brass nameplate on back at top: "J. & F. FRENCH & CO. / MAKERS. / KEENE, / N.H." Whip holder on right side. Iron-clad wooden runners. Set of shafts (not attached).
