Sarah Chandler, who was unmarried, inherited the Chandlers' Bedford farm and homestead; she bequeathed the farm to Hannah MacLaughlin Rollins, who is listed as a resident on the property in the 1850 census. Hannah Rollins was the great-grandmother of the donors, who are sisters. According to former catalog card, this piece is visible in photograph showing the corner cupboard of the Chandler house, later installed at Winterthur. Plate was made by London pewterer John Watts.
