- Description:
- Froe. Iron. No handle. Roughly rectangular blade with curved section near end. Forged loop for handle. Handle loop ~1.5" diameter, forged and welded back onto itself. Blade extends ~5" from handle loop, then makes curve to right. Curved section ~6" long. Blade chamfered on inside edge of curve to create cutting edge. Top surface slightly irregular. Tapers down ~45 degrees toward end to small, broken-off tip area. Blade 0.45" thick at top. Cutting edge turns to right ~4.1" on plane of straight section. Numerous small pits inside surface of froe blade. Larger shallow depressions outside surface of blade, particularly near handle loop.
