Description:
Spoon mold with spoon. Two-piece tablespoon mold, with tablespoon that does not appear to have been made in this mold. Spoon is pewter; the mold is made of sandcast iron. Two sides of the mold fit together and form a funnel at the tip for pouring in molten pewter. Small hole on one side of mold receives small projection on the other side. Large projections on outside of both halves in approximate middle. Mold is for a rat-tail tablespoon with a flattened rounded end with a ridge in the center. Reverse side of mold has a date at handle end, "1733". Handle has a D-shaped cross section.

The tablespoon is pewter, has an ovoid bowl with rat-tail. Bowl also has a funnel shape projection at the end, presumably from the mold's funnel.
