- Description:
- Alphabet toy. Wooden barrel with roll of printed fabric inside. Fabric can be pulled out to read alphabet, then hand cranked back into barrel. Barrel body is painted red, with black top and bottom. Metal hand crank on top. Each alphabet letter has a corresponding image of an animal or object, and two lines of verse. Printed label on top of barrel: "COPYRIGHT SEPT. 1885"; remainder of text is missing or partial.
