- Description:
- Miniature brass cannon. Barrel with vent hole on top, knob on back end. Mounted on a two-wheeled carriage. Cannon attached to a long, curved stock that projects to rear of carriage. One end of stock rests on carriage axle; other end rests on the "ground". "Kearsarge" engraved on stock. Made from metal taken from the steam sloop-of-war USS Kearsarge (1862-1894).

- Made from copper taken from the USS Kearsarge. One of many items presented to The Granite State Fire Insurance Company of Portsmouth made from USS Kearsarge metal. The donor was the secretary of The Granite State Fire Insurance Company.
