- Description:
- Trunk. Rectangular pine box with curved, hinged top. Brown deerskin covering with two leather strips across either end attached with brass tacks. Scalloped band of leather around cover attached with brass tacks. Oval decoration of scalloped leather attached with brass tacks around hinged brass handle on cover. Iron lockplate on front with iron interior lock. stamped wallpaper lining on interior. "TRUNKS / Manufactured / and kept constantly on hand by / ISAAC LIBBEY. / Rochester N.H." printed on paper label attached on underside of cover.
