- Description:
- Trunk. Rectangular pine box with hinged top. Dark brown oilcoth covering with yellow leather bands on either end and across top at ends, attached brass upholstery tacks; Leather flap on cover with brass tacks. Brown leather strap handle with brass tacks attached to top. Lacquered tin lockplate attached to front with steel locking mechanism; cast steel key. Lined with white wallpaper printed with green medallions; blue and white printed wallpaper on bottom. "ISAAC LIBBEY, / Trunk Manufacturer / And Dealer In / VALISES, CARPET BAGS / and All kinds of Trunk Trimmings, / Rochester, N.H." printed on paper label attached on underside of cover.
