- Trunk. Travelling bag of Horace A. Brown. Wood covered with black leather. Leather has incised geometric designs on all surfaces. Painted lettering (very worn) on one end: "H. A. BROWN / CONCORD, / N.H." Lined with blue and cream-colored paper. Two round leather handles. One round brass button on bottom (three missing). Brass mortise lock, no key.

- Belonged to Horace A. Brown (1823-1907), mayor of Concord, NH, 1878-1880. He also served in other municipal offices. He was born in Cornish, NH, and worked for several years in the newspaper business in Concord.
