- Shaker sewing box. Woven poplar splint. Octagonal body with attached cover. Bound with white kid on top and bottom, lined with red silk. Four red bows on side and a white bottom on front panel. Red silk thread is used as hinge for lid. Inside box is a read pin cushion, a red emery, and wax for sharpening needles.
