- Cane. Carved in bamboo form with four sections of decreasing diameter from top to bottom. Ivory knob, 1.6" diameter, with metal band just below. Brass ferrule just above steel tip. Hole for strap, with metal grommets at openings. Brown varnish, flaking. owned by Abel Hutchins, same one depicted in portrait of Hutchins (1991.037.01).
