- Wall telephone set for interoffice communication. Hinged wooden box with mechanism inside. Round brass plate stamped "S.H. COUCH COMPANY. / BOSTON MASS." with black hard-rubber transmitter. Below that is square brass plate with ten push buttons and corresponding slots with typescript names; plate marked "Couch / TELEPHONES / AUTOMATIC / PATENTED SEPTEMBER 11, 1906." Just below buttons, wood is stamped "PAT.SEPT.11.06". Brass bracket on side holding black hard rubber receiver. Two half-round brass bells on top of box.
