- Pestle. Medium gray stone. General shape slightly-flattened cylinder with slight bend at one end. Both ends rounded and slightly pointed. Working area at each end, small due to pointed shape. One side stone light gray. Opposite side darker gray with some brown in it. Some fairly dark, small patches on one side and one end, maybe staining. A couple small white spots on one side appearing to be paint residues due to resting on painted surface. Fairly large, smooth depression on one side in the lighter gray area. Center of depression about 0.25" below surrounding area. Definite boundary lines running through stone. Stone slightly reflective from many small reflecting grains in stone.
