- Pestle. Medium to light tan surface. Shape long, tapering cylinder, slightly flattened on opposite sides. Large end, well rounded. Small end, slightly off set and slightly rounded work area. Some small light-colored abrasions on tip of small end. Large end, reasonably smooth and rounded. On one side, a number of small undulations in stone, particularly near small end. Reddish areas on surface around small end. Quite a few small, black crystals in stone. Quite a few weathered pits in surface. In some areas, surface somewhat reflective from small grains in stone.
