Haynes, Hebron, NH recorded for cleaning or repair, 1917. The clock was purchased by donor, Charles Parsons (1904-1988), in 1970 from Helen (Mrs. George Willis) Chandler of Hebron, New Hampshire. Helen and her husband had received the clock as a wedding gift in 1912, from his great aunts Ann Maria Chandler (1834-1924) and Huldah Atwood Chandler Emmons (1823-1920), neither of whom had children. Ann Maria and Huldah were two grandchildren of Abiel Chandler (1765-1854), younger brother of Major Timothy Chandler. Part of a large clock collection including not only clocks made in N.H., but also several made elsewhere, acquired in N.H. by the donor and probably used here.
